Formula-Driven Status Tracking

The Status column is formula-based and changes automatically based on the due date:

There’s no need to manually update statuses. As long as you update the “Last Completed” date, the “Next Due Date” will calculate automatically based on the frequency, and the formula will adjust the status accordingly.

Managing Your Chores Efficiently

  1. Updating Chores: Once a task is completed, simply update the “Last Completed” date. The “Next Due Date” will automatically calculate based on the frequency you’ve assigned.

  2. Overdue Chores: If a chore isn’t completed by the due date, it will automatically move to Overdue status. This will show as a red icon 🔴, helping you prioritize late tasks.

  3. Custom Areas: The template includes a column called Area where you can assign chores to specific rooms, like Kitchen or Bathroom, but also customize this for non-room categories like Pet Care or General tasks.

  4. Weekly/Monthly Planning: Use the Tasks by Frequency view to plan your cleaning schedule. Seeing all weekly or monthly tasks in one place can help you plan better.

Pro Tips

  1. Customize for Your Family: Duplicate the Mom’s Tasks view for each family member, and set the filter to show only their tasks.
  2. Update Regularly: The effectiveness of this template depends on keeping the Next Due Date updated. Simply adjust the Next Due Date as tasks are completed. The status will automatically change based on the due date and frequency you’ve set (daily, weekly, etc.).

With the Chore Manager, keeping track of household chores has never been easier. Use the visual chart to monitor progress, customize tasks by frequency and area, and make sure nothing gets overlooked!
